Standards of Care
In 2000, HIV Health Services began to develop a Quality Management Program for HIV/AIDS services in San Francisco. As part of this program, HIV Health Services and the HIV Health Services Planning Council (CARE Council) identified a need for service delivery standards in San Francisco.
The intent of these "standards of care" was to establish minimum expectations for service delivery for CARE-funded programs in San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin counties.Currently, HIV Health Services, in collaboration with Harder + Company Community Research, an independent consulting, has developed standards of care in the following categories:
